Public Announcement was one of those R&B male groups that women would love to have to themselves. They had over gone a lot of changes in members over the years. However, the original group members from the 90's was R. Kelly, Earl Robinson, Andre Boykins and Ricky Webster. When it came down to it, Kelly would sing lead on most of the songs for their first album, Born into the 90's. He left the group after the album was released to pursue a solo career.
I hated to see R. Kelly go, but he had to do what he felt was best for himself. However, Public Announcement stayed strong and continued at work to set their place as one of the best R&B groups of the 90's and all time. They went on to make hits that climbed the music charts. They were a very incredible group who also faced problems behind the music scene as well. However, there was nothing that could stop them from making a hit.
