"Can't You See"
This single has many significant details from the formation to the track itself. During the creating process, The Notorious B.I.G. decided to pay the girls back for appearing on his tracks by making an appearance and a rap intro on this track. The other thing that made this single so bad was the fact that it first appeared on the soundtrack for the movie, New Jersey Drive. It also contained a sample from James Brown's "The Payback". All of these combinations resulted in the single being a chart success on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart reaching #13 and #3 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
I love the song alone, because it holds a message revolving around love. The women are saying to their love interests that they were meant to be together.
The hook alone defines the song:
"Can't you see what you do to me
Our love was meant to be you were made for me, oh baby
Can't you see what you do to me
Our love was meant to be you were made for me"
If people really listen to or read these lyrics, they will understand the true meaning of the song.
